With spring comes allergy season and it seems as though more and more of us are experiencing the side effects that come from seasonal blooms. Although it may be impossible to get rid of all allergy symptoms we found some great tips to help you avoid developing symptoms.

- Keep windows closed often in both your home and car. This helps to prevent and limit the amount of pollen drifting in.
- Get outside on rainy, cloudy and windless days. Although it might not be the most ideal it can still be fun! Plus pollen is minimized during these type of weather conditions.
- Shower, if possible, after spending time outdoors. Pollen can linger on your hair and skin which can mean spreading it around your house often worsen your symptoms.
- Use air conditioning or an air purifier to filter out pollen from the air in your home.
According to, Yale Health, it is recommended to begin a preventive medication regimen early if you have a known pollen allergy doing so can help to better control symptoms.
